Band

The school year will begin soon, and the SFX Band is looking forward to an exciting year for our returning musicians and extend a warm welcome to our new 4th Graders and their parents to Junior Band.

Mr. Eric Beltran has been responsible for all levels of the St. Francis Band for many years, and also directs the Nazareth Academy Band. We are fortunate to have such a talented musician and director to lead our program.

Below you will find the all the information for the Band Program.

Concert Band will rehearse before school on Mondays and Tuesdays 7:30am - 8:10am
5th Grade Band will rehearse before school on Thursdays 7:30am - 8:15am
4th Grade Full Band will start before school rehearsals on Oct. 22nd. 7:30am - 8:15am
7th and 8th grade pull out lessons will be on Mondays
6th grade pull out lessons will be on Tuesdays
4th grade flutes/clarinets/saxophones will have pull out lessons on Wednesdays
5th grade will have pull out lessons on Thursdays
4th grade trumpets/trombones/drums will have pull out lessons on Fridays

8/26 - In class Band Introduction to all 4th grade classes
8/27 - Instrument testing to 4th graders in school
8/30 - New Band Parent Meeting in Xavier Room
8/31 - Band Rental Night with Quinlan and Fabish in Xavier Room
9/1 - First 4th grade lesson - Flutes/Clarinets/Saxophones
9/2 - First 7:30 rehearsal and lessons : 5th Grade
9/3 - First 4th grade lesson - Trumpets/Trombones/Drums
9/7 - First 7:30 rehearsal for Concert Band and first 6th grade Lessons in school

9/17 - Lyons Township Jr. High Marching Band Event times TBA

10/22 - First 7:30 rehearsal for the full 4th grade band

11/6 - Fall Jamboree of Bands at Nazareth Academy 9:00am - 1:00pm : Concert Band Only

1/6/2011 - First 4th and 5th Grade combined Cadet band rehearsal 7:30am - 8:15am
1/10/2011 - Concert Band rehearsals and lessons resume

2/1 SFX WINTER BAND CONCERT 7:00PM IN GYM : ALL BANDS

2/3 - Lyons Township 8th grade band day 8:30am - 1:00pm(lunch will be provided) Concert at 7:30pm in Reber Center.

3/5 - Solo Contest at St. Louise De Marilac : All Band Students times TBA

4/16 - Band-O-Rama Festival at Wilkens Jr. High School times TBA

*5/19 - SFX SPRING BAND CONCERT 7:00PM IN GYM : ALL BANDS

5/27 - Last Day of Band Lessons
