Advent & Lent Reflection Books

Description:
Each year, close to 90 people write one-page reflections on the daily scripture readings for the seasons of Advent and Lent. The writers share a truly wonderful gift with the entire parish that allows us to experience these two seasons in a unique way. The individual reflections are collected and published in Books of Reflections for both Advent and Lent. New writers, as well as experienced writers, are encouraged to join this effort. If you volunteer, you will receive the scripture readings, as well as guidelines to help you pray these readings and offer your reflections.

Time Commitment:
You volunteer to pray and reflect on readings for one day of either Advent or Lent, and compose a written reflection to be included in the published books. Reflections are written over the late summer months and due in September or October for editing, processing and publishing. Time commitment will vary from person to person depending on time needed for prayer, reflection and writing.

Please include your name, address, daytime phone number and indicate if you would like to write a reflection for the 2010 Advent or 2011 Lent Book of Reflections.

Information, directions and readings FOR BOTH SEASONS will be sent via USPS near the end of August. Reflections are due by the end of September.
